Mill Levy Increase
On August 12th at the annual budget hearing for the City of Culver, City Clerk Lou Ann Inscho presented the proposed budget to
the city council for approval. The budget included a mill levy increase of 7 mills, from 27 mills to nearly 34 mills. She felt this
increase was needed to ensure the city is able to keep a small surplus to carry over from year to year. To put it into perspective,
in 2013, according to the Ottawa County web site the mill levy for Delphos was 56.4 and Tescott 45.2. See the table below to

The budget passed on a vote of 2-2, with the mayor breaking the tie with a yes vote.
